With a flashlight examine the attic and locate the path that you will use to run the wire between the two locations. Occasionally due to attic configuration or other challenges some visible conduit is unavoidable.

Of space below the roof deck and is easily accessible for the future solar installer. Climb through the attic access using a ladder if necessary and look into the attic space. Whenever i do attic wiring i remove the insulation and staple it to the ceiling joist. Finally slip the end of the conduit into the compression connector and tighten the compression nut with a wrench.

Familiarize yourself with the footing situation. Ensure the conduit location in the attic provides at least 18 in.
