Builder can put in an 1 1 2 pvc conduit from basement to attic for 412.
I need to install a ceiling fan 9run new circuit and i know in the near future i also run at least 2 20a 1 220v to the garage only route there is up through attic then drop back down.
I would also like to run conduit in each room on the top floor to the attic.
Also i found a route from basement to attic next to the gas pipe.

Hi i had the builder install a conduit from the attic to the basement when i purchased the home.
Again a little online reading shot that down too because of heat rating restrictions that limit how many romex runs can be in one conduit.
I plan on finishing the basement this year and want to ensure i run the correct wires ahead of time should i wish to install an antenna or security system in the attic at some point.
The only spot i can run a pvc conduit from basement to well almost to the attic is alongside a forced air heating duct.
I ll insert three sections at a time one in each hole and have someone on the floor below catch them in case the fireblocking is lower than the length of the conduit.

My house is a classic rancher from 67 unfinished for now basement.
Each room would have a wall plate but the end in the attic would be open.
Could anyone explain the benefits of this conduit.
